I Got Served! DIY 2

Last Friday, I came to work at 8:45. Forty five minutes late on my 10-hours/day, 60-hours/week, receptionist job. Upon reaching the office, our H.R exec gave me my first "written warning". Hence he title.... I actually find this funny, because i've been coming late to work for 2-3 times a week in the past four months. And this was the first time that someone had finally thought serving me a memo. I think it's their last ditch effort to intimidate me. Kudos to our H.R.! Oh man! They're finally reaching in to me!

I'm not buying it though.
Oh no no no... They're not scaring me, nor intimidating me. But I gotta say, they got me thinking...

Am I falling off my wagon again?  Am I losing my drive again? Am I in need of an extra push again to make me excel more?

And then I thought of my plans and how I am not pursuing them NOW. How come they're all on hold? I enlist my plans, I imagine them, but I don't ACT on them anymore. Like my blog. I have a lot of plans for it, but I always pause them, and how find various excuses to do them tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, new excuse. Then tomorrow comes, another new excuse. And tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.... SHUT THE HELL UP! LET'S DO IT TODAY!!! So here it goes!

My 2nd DIY!

Hex nut Bracelet

You're gonna need the following materials:

1. Micro fiber suede leather cord or any cord will do but make sure that it's not too thin.

I got black, but there's plenty of colors that you can get.

2. Hex nuts. Yes, the ones that you get from hardware stores.

 3. Scissors

How to Make Hex nuts Bracelet:

Step 1: Cut three equal strands of the leather cord. Gather all three and tie a knot at the top.

Step 2. Start braiding and then stop once you have about 1 1/2 inch of braided cord.

Step 3. Insert the first hex nut on the leftmost strand. Flip the hex cord over the middle cord.

Step 4.  Insert the second hex nut on the rightmost cord. Flip this over on the middle strand again.

Step 5. Just continue braiding.  Don't forget to insert a new hex nut on to the new strand that your gonna flip.

Decide on how long you want the hex would go. I made mine long enough to cover one side of my wrist. After that, braid again, but this time do it without the hex. Tie another knot at the end to finish your work.

My boyfriend saw me making this, and asked if it'll get rusty after some time. I think it will, so I would suggest in coating the hex nuts with some clear nail polish before making these. FIY, this is also what I do whenever I buy cheap accessories. You know, the ones that tarnished easily? It keeps 'em shiny too. :)
