Ramadan Kareem!

I know it's pretty late, but I would still wanna greet everyone Ramadan Kareem!

A brief history of Radaman, it is basically a month of fasting, praying, and being more close to Allah. This is observed worldwide by all adult Muslims, with the exception of those who are ill, travelling, pregnant, or going through menstrual bleeding. Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from eating, drinking, smoking, or engaging in sexual relations. Food and drink is served daily, before sunrise and after sunset. This is done on every 9th month of the Islamic calendar, and is based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon. This year, Ramadan started around the 8th or 9th of July.

Now I know not all of us are Muslims, but I think it helps that we are aware of this so we can understand their culture more, and be respectful of it. Like not eating, drinking, or smoking in front of them. Or if you have a colleague who's fasting, you should understand that they might work a bit slower than others. Or if you have a Muslim boyfriend, you should not be weirded out if he's not interested in your vajayjay. Don't worry, this will only be for a month... Right?? OMG. I do hope this only lasts for a month.
